I moved to Vernon Parish from Western New York during the summer of 2017. That fall, I started teaching at Vernon Middle School. My first year here, I taught Sixth Grade English Language Arts and Social Studies. This is my second consecutive year teaching solely Sixth Grade English Language Arts.
I graduated from college in the spring of 2015, and that fall I began teaching Fifth Grade Science at a rural elementary school. I taught that for two consecutive years, before my husband was stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana.
My husband and I were married in January of 2018. We have two children; a son named Uriah and a daughter named Charlotte. Uriah is in first grade and Charlotte just celebrated her first birthday! We also have one pet, a Havanese named Primrose Grace.
My hobbies include reading (when I can seldomely find the time!), collecting Rae Dunn, watching movies and most of all eating all the things! I am currently working on mastering the technique of handlettering and learning to speak Spanish.
